Octagonal proved one of the most popular sires at the recent William
Inglis & Son Easter Yearling Sale, with the 20 yearlings sold grossing
$3,115,000 at an average of $155,750. The top price paid was $600,000
for lot 515, a black colt out of Twiglet.

OCTAGONAL FILLY TOPS DEAUVILLE SUNDAY Deauville, France, August
21 - Octagonal is taking a starring role at the current Deauville
Yearling Sale in France with a session-topping FF5 million
($A1,305,932) filly secured by Sheikh Maktoum Al Maktoum’s
Gainsborough Stud management. The Octagonal-Manureva filly
is a half-sister to Group One Atto Mile winner Riviera from
the family of Group One winners Maximova, Septieme Ciel, Macoumba
and Nonalco and she was offered by Haras d”Etreham. She will
be prepared by English trainer Mick Channon, who handled Group
